While details are still in development, it is estimated construction value is in the range of £150m to £230m.
Buchanan Galleries is a major shopping centre in the middle of Glasgow city centre. It is owned by Buchanan Partnership, a joint venture between Henderson Global Investors and Land Securities.
The developers have published a contract notice in the Official Journal of the EU today.
The project includes construction of a new multi-screen cinema and new shop space being built over the existing multi-storey car park and above the north cutting to Queen Street Station.
