Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has now invited bids from design and build contacting groups for the new specialist emergency care hospital in East Cramlington.
The design team has already had the hospital plans signed off and will be novated to the successful contractor.
The project is a complete new build of inpatient wards, an accident and emergency care centre, operating theatres, critical care, maternity, paediatrics, radiology, pathology and a full range of support accommodation.
