The framework starts immediately and consists of small scale repairs of buildings across the Anglian Water estate. Anglian supplies 1.2bn litres of water a day to its six million domestic and business customers in the east of England and Hartlepool. The company operates 1,257 water and wastewater treatment works.
The framework is Costain’s first with Anglian Water and is in line with its ‘Choosing Costain’ strategy, which is focused on targeting the blue-chip customers in chosen sectors. Costain targets sectors whose major spending plans are underpinned by strategic national needs, regulatory commitments or essential maintenance requirements.
Costain’s Customer Director Matt Crabtree said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this framework by Anglian Water and, as a new customer, we very much look forward to helping it achieve its complex delivery programme.”
