The project is needed because two signal regiments are relocating to the barracks from Germany as part of a restructuring of the armed forces.
DIO has published a contact notice in the EU Official Journal today seeking a prime contractor for the 42-month project.
The MOD will hold an Industry Day at Beacon Barracks on 15 September 2011, when industry representatives can visit the site to learn more about the redevelopment plans. These plans include proposals for the provision of living, working and technical accommodation to support the signal regiments.
