The three-axle crane has a single cab mounted high on the crane for both driving and crane operations.
The vehicle toppled over as it came down a hill on the A694 in Ebchester at about 07:30am, the BBC reports, causing traffic delays during the morning rush hour.
The crane belongs to the Dutch crane rental group Mammoet, which operates a rental fleet of mobile cranes in the northeast.
