Driver improvement continues

27 Jun 12 Quantity surveyor Driver Group saw its revenues rise 35% in the six months to 31 March 2012 and returned to profit.

This time last year, Driver was reporting a first half loss before tax of £140,000. This time it has made a profit of £731,000. Revenue was up from £7.9m last time to £10.6m this time.

With the acquisition of Trett Consulting in May 2012, numbers for the second half are expected to improve further.

Chairman Alan McClue said: "The period continued the positive trends seen in the second half of our last financial year and was another period in which we achieved all of our objectives.  The business entered the second half of 2012 in good shape resulting in the group issuing a further positive trading update.”

He added: “I continue to be very confident and excited by the opportunities that exist for the group."
