It has been notified that Colombian company Interconexión Eléctrica has decided to exercise its call option on Cintra's remaining 40% stake in Intervial Chile, formerly Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte de Chile Limitada. The transaction is estimated to be worth €160m.
The decision is part of an agreement signed on 15 September 2010 in which both parties agreed that Interconexión Eléctrica had a call option on Cintra's remaining stake. Interconexión Eléctrica has 90 days for the financial closure of this transaction.
