The Innovation House is intended to demonstrate innovative design solutions to meet and drive the demand for sustainable development both in China and around the world. It will featuring a range of low carbon technologies and building materials. The aim is to showcase Vanke’s approach to future housing that will provide efficient, flexible and healthy environments for occupants.
The model for the Beijing Green Building Park is based on the original BRE Innovation Park in Watford. It will offer a platform for Chinese and international construction supply chains to test and trial sustainable innovations for homes and communities before applying them in the real world at volume.
British companies have won more than £600,000 of construction contracts on the park to date, with more in the pipeline as the project progresses.
