The consultant will assist Femern throughout the tendering and may also assist during the construction period.
The 17.6km road and rail tunnel will link Denmark and Germany. The prequalified teams for the mechanical and electrical consultancy are:
- ÅF Hansen & Henneberg in a joint venture with Pövry Infra
- Mott MacDonald
- Ramboll – Arup – TEC joint venture
- Cowi in collaboration with HBI Haerter, M&E Engineering, GBI Gackstatter Beratende Ingenieure, Barbara Consult and HOJ Consulting
- Grontmij in a joint venture with Capita Symonds.
Electrical and mechanical systems in the tunnel include power supply and systems for lighting, communication, ventilation, drainage and fire fighting. The contract will also cover intelligent traffic control systems, traffic signage and some installations in the control centre and the toll station.
Femern has invited the prequalified companies to a pre-bid conference on 25 October. Closing date for delivering bids is 28 November 2011.
