Nigel Stubbings was one of three members of staff who set up the National Federation of Builders in 1995 and was its operations director from 2001 to 2006. Since 2008 he has been working as a consultant to trade associations.
FMB chief executive Brian Berry said that Mr Stubbings’ new role at the FMB included developing member services and helping to deliver a new strategic plan.
Commenting on his appointment, Nigel Stubbings said: “I am delighted to be joining the FMB at this exciting time in its history, to help drive changes that that will benefit members and make the FMB the one-stop-shop for construction SMEs. The FMB’s new strategic plan is an ambitious reform package that will be of benefit to any SME contractor working in the construction sector.”
