He joins Mace on 28 January from Balfour Beatty.

Mr Philp is also head of BIM implementation at the Cabinet Office where he is responsible for the mobilisation and implementation of Level Two BIM across central government’s property portfolio. He will continue in this role alongside his new position at Mace.

Mace already implements the BIM on a third of its projects and has found that the benefits span accurate modelling and improved predictability through to running buildings more efficiently. Mace now has a three year plan to get BIM on half of its projects.

Mr Philp said, “Mace has a reputation for innovation and has the opportunity to be a leader in BIM. The company has a very strong purpose and vision for what it wants to achieve and how it wants to integrate BIM at all stages of the property lifecycle. This is an exciting move for me.”
