Gypframe prices to come down

12 Jul 11 British Gypsum is reducing the price of its Gypframe metal profiles by 4% from the 1 August 2011.

This price cut is guaranteed for at least three months, despite fluctuating energy and fuel prices.

British Gypsum said that this demonstrated a promise that it made earlier this year that any reductions would be passed onto customers as soon as possible.

Senior product manager Andy Wilkins said: “This price decrease is due to successful negotiations with our suppliers and we’re pleased to be able to pass these reductions on to our customers. We understand how tough the marketplace currently is for contractors and know that any cost saving will alleviate some of these pressures.”

British Gypsum said that it would continue to lobby the steel industry for price stability so that customers can plan effectively.
