Halcrow among winners in bumper crop of Oman contracts

5 Dec 12 Oman’s Ministry of Transport & Communications has awarded 19 contracts in the field of transport and ports worth a total of RO 151m (£243m) .

The agreements include RO 95.5m for the transport sector and RO 55.7m for the port sector.

Halcrow Middle East has a contract worth RO 387,379 for the provision of consultancy services in enhancing the efficiency of the northern and southern wave barrier at Sohar Industrial Port. 

Another winner is Strabag Oman, with a RO 2.39m contract related to 16km of rehabilitation along the Al Batinah dual-carriageway road.

Other contracts include a RO.5,252,755 agreement with Parsons International  for consultancy services and supervision of the dualling of the Nizwa-Thumrait-Adam road.
