ISG picked for Dubai hotel revamp

28 Apr 14 ISG has landed its largest hotel contract to date in Dubai with a deal worth about £21m.

The project involves comprehensive refurbishment of all 393 rooms in the Kempinski Mall of the Emirates Hotel. The scheme encompasses upgrading guest rooms, suites and ski chalets, meeting rooms, gym and spa facilities, as well as the refurbishment of the building’s external façade.

The contract follows wins over the last two months in France, China, the USA and the Malaysia and the announcement last week that ISG had won a Queen's Award for International Trade. ISG chief executive David Lawther said: "Our growing international reputation, diversified service offer and larger project capability makes ISG well positioned to take advantage of recovering overseas markets, especially in the hospitality and retail sectors. Securing a Queen's Award for International Trade is an independent validation of our achievements to seek sustainable growth from overseas markets and further diversify our business."
