He was previously with Speedy Hire for six years, as chief operating officer for UK and Irish operations. Before that, he was with the investment bank Rothschild.
Mr Veritiero takes over from and will report to Ian Lawson, who takes the new role of chairman of Kier Services.
Mr Lawson said: “With my additional responsibilities within the group, it is important that our Services division can benefit from a dedicated managing director at the helm to continue our growth plans. Claudio brings a wealth of experience in developing businesses, strategic planning, operational and relationship management, all of which align with our strategy for further growth. I wish him every success in his new role.”
Kier Services offers outsourced services in the fields of facilities management, housing stock maintenance, street and grounds maintenance, waste collection and recycling, asset management, energy solutions, insurance claims management, plant hire and fleet management.
