The Constructionline supplier engagement day for Kier Construction is being held on Wednesday 24 October in Bootle.

Kier is looking for subcontractors to help build a new joint Command and Control Centre for Merseyside Fire & Rescue Services and Merseyside Police. The £6m project is due to be completed by early 2014.

A wide range of skills is required, from groundwork to roofing, windows and cladding. Kier is also looking for contractors in electrical and mechanical related trades to work on metalwork, joinery, suspended ceilings and landscaping.

The project is being carried out as part of the North West Construction Hub. As part of Kier’s commitment to the Construction Hub payments, the terms for all subcontractors on this project have been set to 35 days.

The event, being held at Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services HQ, between 8.30am and 1.30pm, will give local subcontractors the opportunity to meet Kier staff to discuss working on the project and to network with other suppliers.
