Thorncliffe’s order included several of the market leading KX models as well as the new U27-4 zero tail-swing mini excavator that was launched this year.
Plant hire manager Lee Healy said he chose Kubota because that was what customers were asking for.
He added: “Since we received the Kubotas they’ve been pretty much fully booked with repeat bookings from satisfied customers. Feedback has been very positive with the majority of users commenting on the ease of use the Kubota machines provide. They have also mentioned how comfortable the cabs are, an important factor when you spend all day operating them.”
Local Kubota dealer Major Owen, based in Penryndeudraeth, says that it has seen an increase in demand for Kubota excavators, both from existing and new customers like Thorncliffe.
