Lakehouse buys fire alarm firm

9 Nov 12 Lakehouse, an Essex-based contractor that specialises in social housing and public sector construction and maintenance, has acquired fire alarm specialist Allied Protection.

Like Lakehouse, Allied Protection specialises in working in the social housing sector and its clients include Circle Anglia, A2 Dominion, Southern Housing Group and the Notting Hill Housing Trust. It offers installation and servicing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire suppression systems, extinguishers, and access control systems throughout south and southeast England and East Anglia.

Lakehouse said that the acquisition was part of its strategy to expand its offering within the compliance sector and widen its geographical area of operation. Allied Protection’s owners, Jamie Dawson and Tim Dawson, together with their management team, will remain with Allied Protection as part of the enlarged Lakehouse group.

Lakehouse chairman Stuart Black said: “I am thrilled that we have secured Allied Protection; a successful business, with an exceptional management team and staff. Their service offering complements our Lakehouse offering, and we share a number of key clients, so I am confident that together we will benefit from continued growth and development.”
