Land Securities is planning to redevelop Kingsgate House, 66-74 Victoria Street in London SW1.

The development, designed by Lynch Architects, will replace an existing office block with two new buildings. It will provide 203,000 sq ft of office space and 102 residential apartments. The public realm will also be extended, with a courtyard bordered by shops and restaurants.

The earliest that work could start at Kingsgate House would be spring 2012, with completion scheduled for 2015.

Land Securities already has three other projects under construction in the Victoria neighbourhood: apartment blocks in Wellington House, set to complete in summer 2012, and at 62 Buckingham Gate, completing spring 2013; and an office development at 123 Victoria Street, completing in summer 2012.

Land Securities’ London portfolio head of development Colette O’Shea said: “Victoria is changing. We began our transformation of the area with Cardinal Place and we are already on site at three other schemes. Kingsgate House is another key stage in our plans to create the new West End destination.”
