Liebherr at the UK Concrete Show

23 Nov 11 Liebherr will be exhibiting at the UK Concrete Show, February 22nd and 23rd 2012 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.

The Company will be displaying one of their best-selling hydraulic truckmixers and, ever mindful of contributing to progress in controlling environmental impact, will also show one of their range of concrete recycling systems.

Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd is on Stand Number A9.

The HTM 804 Hydraulic Truckmixer

The Liebherr HTM 804P mixer assembly features a standard drum constructed from special high wear-resistant steel with wear-caps on the mixer spiral blades for extended working life. A further and important factor in enhancing the longevity of both mixer drum and its carrier chassis on display is the Liebherr developed high-quality steel frame and U-clamp fixing method.

Drum support pedestals are secured to the substantial U-channel sub-frame at the “underlay” by stirrup bolts that accommodate flexing. These are fitted close to the frame to avoid stress transference and to distribute loads uniformly to the truck chassis. The design, coupled with the side plate fixing arrangement, enables the mixer sub-frame to be rigidly attached at regular intervals over its entire length. This forms a composite strength with the chassis, while still allowing the body to flex as necessary to avoid stress damage and/or misalignment occurring within the mixer superstructure. This, in effect, produces such a rigid and stress-free fit that problems of cracking or distortion on either mixer frame or truck chassis are avoided. The result is a considerably extended operating life for both mixer assembly and host vehicle.

The Liebherr HTM 804P has a “set” concrete capacity of 8m³, a 9.1m³ water level and a geometric air volume of 14.29m³. To enhance the lightweight characteristics of this model, the water tank is constructed in aluminium. Gearbox and hydraulics are from Sauer. The drum assembly is manufactured by Liebherr in Germany to the highest quality management controls and the paintwork is factory-finished.

The LRT 622 Concrete Recycling Plant

The LRT range of trough system recycling plants is available in three sizes and is designed for cost-effective and efficient separation and recycling for the re-use of concrete’s residual components from batching plants and truckmixers, before they are hardened. A proportion of the process water from the recycling plant, which is collected in a sump tank and maintained in suspension by an agitator, can be returned to the production plant; sand and gravel are washed out cleanly for re-introduction as production aggregates.

The trough pattern on the LRT 622 on display – largest in the range - holds a particularly high volume of wash water so that larger quantities of material for recycling can be added at shorter intervals. Additionally, the screw is located within the housing so that a bed of material is built up, thereby avoiding unnecessary wear. The screw shaft runs in maintenance-free bearings.

The generously proportioned loading hopper can be filled from virtually any angle and is sized to accommodate up to two truckmixers at any one time.

The basic specifications of the LRT 622 Concrete Recycling Plant are:- Trough length – 6000mm; trough diameter – 2200mm; solids discharge height – 2000mm; drive motor rating – 11kW; throughput capacity – up to 20m³ per hour, depending on application.
