Lovell scoops ‘Oscar’ of health and safety awards

26 Jul 11 Affordable housing specialist Lovell has won an award at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2011.

The Eastern region of Lovell was awarded a Gold Medal, only given to companies that have scooped five or more consecutive Gold awards.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, says: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations which have demonstrated their commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. Lovell has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of the Gold Medal.”

The RoSPA awards scheme analyses entrants’ health and safety management systems, accident records, workforce involvement and strength of site leadership.

Noel Adams, regional director at Lovell, comments: “This award is testament to our ongoing commitment to ensuring we provide a safe working atmosphere for our employees, our customers and the general public. We are thrilled to be recognised by RoSPA for all our hard work and will continue to work towards setting award-winning standards.”
