Seven-storey Peterloo House, owned by the Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS) but managed by AXA, will be replaced by a new 12-storey block designed by architects Squire and Partners. Built in the 1960s, the current building has 40,000 sq ft of office space. The new one will have 108,000 sq ft of space.
Construction is expected to start once around 50% of the building has been pre-let. WHR Property Consultants and CBRE have been appointed as agents to secure prospective tenants. The new building will have a Palazzo style façade with copper trimmings to keep it in line with the surrounding architecture.
