The development is on the site of a Travis Perkins builders’ merchant outlet. Developer Unite Group has bought the site from Travis Perkins for £23.8m and will provide it with a new trading facility on the ground floor of the new development once it completes.
The building, which received approval from Camden Council in August 2011, will provide a range of managed apartments and studios. Construction will begin in December 2012 and the property will open in 2014.
The development is next to the Royal Veterinary College and close to several other key London higher education institutions as well as Kings Cross Station.
