The single storey extension to the former Toyota Lexus Training Centre at the Clifton Campus in Nottingham will create a new teaching and research capability at the University.
The new building will be an essential resource for the next generation of students and scientists of the future. It will house a number of new laboratories including wet and dry laboratories, teaching and research laboratories, fume cupboards, research and development instrumentation areas for x-ray nano imaging and other specialist equipment. A new lobby and reception area will be created together with changing rooms, locker rooms, shower facilities and toilets. Write up and break out space for students will be provided together with a staff room and office space.
The contract has been procured through Mansell’s framework partnership with Nottingham Trent University.
Work is due to start on site this month and complete in April 2012.
