Milton Keynes renews Morgan Sindall deal

13 Jul 11 Milton Keynes Council has reappointed Morgan Sindall to its £100m framework for major building works.

The appointment has a three-year term, with a possible additional year’s extension. Work will involve new build and refurbishment schemes in education and general community buildings.

The framework has an anticipated total spend of up to £100m, with the projects grouped by value. Morgan Sindall will compete against two other contractors in Lots 1 and 2, which cover schemes valued at £2.5m and more, and those in the £350,000 to £2.5m range.

Lots 1 and 2 cover the majority of the building works available under the framework. A third lot covers projects costing less than £350,000.

Milton Keynes Council first selected Morgan Sindall as a preferred contractor in 2007 for a four-year term. The renewal of the agreement follows Morgan Sindall’s recent appointment to the Smarte East Alliance Framework in the east of England, where it will be competing in two of the three lots that cover a £500m programme of public building works over the next four years.
