Mouchel boosts Middle East business

9 Jul 12 Infrastructure and business services group Mouchel has appointed Joe Burns as interim managing director and Tim Askew in a non-executive capacity for its Middle East business.

Burns has been supporting the Middle East team, its management and a number of clients over the past six months in his role as strategy director for the Infrastructure Services operating group. He has more than 30 years' experience in the infrastructure sector having worked in client, consultant and contractor roles in more than 20 countries.  He will build on the the work that has been started and will oversee the completion of the restructure and refocus of Mouchel's Middle East business.

Askew spent more than 10 years as the managing director of Atkins' Middle East business.

Mouchel Infrastructure Services managing director Phil Atkinson said of the appointments: " Joe's inclusive leadership style and strategic business planning experience is instrumental to growing the Middle Eastern arm of our business while Tim's experience will enable him to provide valuable advice that will help to facilitate change and the delivery of our growth agenda."

Burns will retain his wider international commitments in respect of the World Road Association and the US Transportation Research Board.
