Muddy good fun

3 Oct 12 JCB is hosting and sponsoring a charity run through mud to raise funds for the NSPCC.

The JCB Mud Run takes place on Saturday 10th November at the manufacturers HQ in Rocester, Staffordshire.

1500 competitors will run, walk, slither and slide their way around 20 obstacles across a five mile course. JCB is itself building the obstacles

JCB is working with event organiser Eight Point Two to build, excavate, construct and lift challenging obstacles into place that competitors will climb over, swim through, swing across and slide down to test the endurance, co-ordination and strength of the participants.

Ian Loombe from Eight Point Two said: “Working with JCB means that we have access to a fantastic event site and some amazing kit to build our obstacles with – we really have been able to let our imagination run wild.”

Entry is limited to 1500 places and every penny of every registration fee will be donated to the NSPCC. Competitors will be allowed to be cheered on by supporters but these must also be registered in advance to ensure that they can be transported to the start. There are no facilities for parking at the event site.

To enter, either as an individual or as a team of four, go to www.thejcbmudrun.com.
