The framework is split into two lots:
- Lot 1 - 132kV and below;
- Lot 2 EPCM Framework - All voltages (400kV, 275kV, 132kV and below).
Contractors will be asked to demonstrate proven experience of: detailed design, construction design management, programme management, project management, site management as principal contractor, substation construction and refurbishment, civil engineering, procurement and supply chain management, programme integration with substation works, M&E installation, testing and commissioning of all associated equipment.
There will be three stages to the selection of contractors for the frameworks:
1. Interested parties are requested to submit an expression of interest.
2. Those companies that respond to the EOI will be invited to a pre-qualification stage, at which their capabilities will be examined.
3. Candidates short listed at the pre-qualification stage will be invited to tender for a place on the framework agreement.
The deadline for submission of expressions of interest is 22 December 2012.
