The £1.2m investment includes JCB and Kubota excavators and Thwaites dumpers.

Some of the new arrivals will replace older machines but others are to meet an upturn in demand at the company’s Worcester and Tewkesbury depots, which report unprecedented demand.

WH’s new machines are:

  • 40 x JCB excavators ranging from 1.5 tonne to 13 tonnes
  • 4 x Kubota U10-3 micro excavators
  • 6 x Thwaites dumpers from 2 tonne to 9 tonne models

Managing director James Clutterbuck said: “We’ve been buying JCB equipment since we first opened over 17 years ago. It is the brand that most of our customers ask for and the machines are not only very reliable, but some of the safest and most technologically advanced. We get excellent support from dealer Gunn JCB, who was also able to supply site dumpers as part of the overall package. The Kubota micro excavators will be a great addition to our ever versatile fleet to fulfil demand.”
