New Broadway Malyan office to design world’s third-tallest tower

6 Sep 11 Design practice Broadway Malyan has opened an office in Istanbul, Turkey, on the back of recent project wins there, including a 571m-tall tower that would be the world’s third tallest.

The new office will be led by director Peter Vaughan, who will spearhead the practice’s strategic push into Turkey. Recent wins for major mixed use schemes there include a 525,000m2 project in Seyrantepe, 250,000m2 scheme in Beylikduzu, and 100,000m2 project in Florya.

Managing director Gary Whittle said: “The new office will further enhance our global reach and result in a network of 15 bases from São Paulo to Shanghai.” He added that the practice is actively targeting emerging countries and new markets to continue to grow the business.

The new office is the third opened by the practice this year, will provide the business with an additional platform for the planning, design and delivery of cities, places and buildings.
