Joint administrators Stephen Grant and Anthony Cork of insolvency specialists firm Wilkins Kennedy found separate buyers for the Colchester-based roofing contracting arm and the Kings Lynn-based roofing material supplies operation.
They would not disclose who the new owners were but said only that they were independent from the previous owners and not connected to them. A call to Kings Lynn revealed that SIG is the new owner of the merchanting division.
The administrators were appointed on 31 August.
Stephen Grant said: “Anthony Cork and myself are delighted to announce that we have successfully sold both the contracting division and merchant division to two separate purchasers preserving value for the creditors and maintaining employment for nine members of staff. Both Stephen Grant and Anthony Cork are very experienced in construction industry insolvencies and this experience was invaluable in negotiating the sales. As a result of the sale of the contracting business the company’s customers should receive a seamless service ensuring their projects are completed on time.”
