The North East Procurement Organisation, representing 11 councils, has published a contract notice calling for submissions of interest for four lots: construction projects worth more than £4m, construction projects worth less than £4m, design and build projects worth more than £4m, and design and build projects worth less than £4m.
It is envisaged that six contractors will be selected for each lot and that the total value of the work over the four-year term of the framework will be between £900m and £1bn.
