The Manor Lock development will provide seven three-bedroom houses and 11 one-bedroom apartments for affordable rental in the Latchford area of Warrington following the 11-month design and build programme.
Constructed on a brownfield site that was previously occupied by a social club, the scheme involves traditional brick and masonry construction and has been designed to Code Three for Sustainable Homes standard.
The contractor is better known for its work building specialist student accommodation. Ocon project manager John Baggaley said: “This is a significant scheme for Ocon as it demonstrates that our skills and experience in the student accommodation sector are transferable to the mainstream residential sector.
