Ottawa awards $2.1bn light rail contract

Rideau Transit Group (RTG) is led by ACS Infrastructure Canada, with EllisDon, Dragados Canada, SNC-Lavalin and Veolia Transportation Services as prime team members. Teams led by Vinci and Bouygues had also bid for the contract.

The contract also includes the building and financing of the Highway 417 widening project.

Rideau Transit Group’s proposal outlines a construction schedule that will see project construction substantially complete by the end of 2017 and in service by 2018.
