Parsons lands 3,200ha Saudi housing contract

3 Nov 11 Parsons has won the first consultancy package released by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Housing as part of a programme to build 500,000 houses over the next few years.

This initial package comprises 3,200ha of land area divided into 11 sites spread across the country. Individual site areas range from 73ha Khamis Mushayt to 1,000ha in Dammam.

Parsons will be responsible for masterplanning, neighborhood planning, infrastructure design and the design of various types of houses, as well as construction supervision of all eleven developments.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to such a strategic project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” said Parsons MENA president Guy Mehula. “We have been working in the Kingdom for the last 35 years, and we are committed to support the leadership in their ambitious plans.”
