PJ Edwards has been active in the UK in the late 1980s, including on the Queen Elizabeth II bridge in Dartford.

High profile contracts are already being carried out across the UK, including the Second Forth River Crossing in Scotland and the Olympic Park and Crossrail in London. This has prompted the establishment of a fully-staffed UK operation - PJ Edwards & Co (UK) Ltd - headed by former Carillion Piling managing director Martin Kenwright.

There are three other ex-Carillion Piling people on board at PJ Edwards in the UK: Adrian Norridge as operations director, Ian Hunter as bid manager and Keith Murrell as works manager.

Mr Kenwright said: “The success of such a new business venture requires a highly motivated and experienced team, who are passionate about geotechnical engineering. These criteria are met in abundance by our new management team who, between them, boast over 100 years’ experience in the specialist piling and civil engineering activities”.

He continued “We are engineers who are passionate about geotechnical engineering and its successful delivery for our clients. We are therefore confident that this passion, coupled with our total commitment to our clients, will ensure that the new UK operation will be a great success”.
