Members at Swale Borough Council have unanimously supported the plans, which comprise a 55,000 sq ft foodstore that has been pre-let to WM Morrison Supermarkets, 40,000 sq ft of retail warehousing and a drive-thru restaurant unit, together with 80,000 sq ft of light industrial space.
The resolution to grant is subject to usual planning and construction conditions and the signing of a S.106 agreement.
It is expected that construction will start on site on the Morrison's element of the scheme early in 2012.
Neats Court itself comprises a vacant 20 acre employment site mid way between Sheerness and Sittingbourne. It forms part of a wider regeneration programme known as the Queenborough and Rushenden Masterplan. A new link road is under construction to serve Neats Court and the wider masterplan area.
