Current CEO Flemming Pedersen Bligaard (63) will pass on his responsibilities at the annual general meeting in March.
Mr Saul (45) holds a degree in engineering from the University of Hannover. He has made his career at Siemens since 1996, most recently as CEO of Siemens Wind Power and before that as managing director of Siemens Energy in the UK and also has had responsibilities for energy in the north and west Europe regions. He will join Ramboll in early 2012.
Chairman of the Ramboll Board of Directors Peter Højland said that that Mr Saul is exactly the right person to lead the further development of the company. "We must ensure that the company benefits in the best possible way from its size, diversity and capacity and at the same time pursues its strategic goal of becoming a truly global player," said Mr Højland. “The future development of Ramboll in a challenging market situation requires a CEO with a global mindset and experience from an international organisation. Jens-Peter Saul has proven to have both. I am convinced that he has the visionary approach, professional experience and understanding of Ramboll's values and business needed to fulfil the company's vision."
