Robertson Group announce new senior appointments

1 Nov 11 A well known face in property and regeneration, Jim McIntyre, is to join the Robertson Group Board to reinforce the company’s ambitious growth strategy.

Jim, a former Director of Scottish Enterprise, joins the company from 1NG, the private sector led economic development and management company in Newcastle and Gateshead, where he was CEO. He will join the Group Board as Managing Director Strategy and Development.

Welcoming him to the Board, Group Chief Executive Andrew Cowan said:

“We are delighted that Jim is joining us given his broad ranging experience in the public and private sectors. Our underlying business is very robust, but the economic climate has changed significantly in a number of our core markets and this has meant identifying new ways of working in partnership with clients.  Jim’s skills and experience will help us further develop this collaborative approach.  Challenging times offer excellent opportunities for innovation and both our new appointments reflect our determination to develop innovative business models which benefit both the public and private sector.”

Jim’s career spans both the public and private sectors. He was responsible for setting up NHS 24 and was also CEO at Gladedale Capital where he was responsible for the Quartermile Project in Edinburgh.  Jim is married with two children and lives in Edinburgh.

Also joining Robertson in a strategic role is Calum MacPherson.  The former Highlands and Islands Enterprise Area Manager for Moray is Robertson’s new Strategy and Business Development Director.  He will focus on the north and north-east areas of Scotland. Calum recently chaired the Moray Task Force which successfully campaigned to retain RAF Lossiemouth.
