Robertson is the contractor for the £11.8m redevelopment at Technip’s Westhill site in Aberdeen.

Following initial enabling work earlier this year, part of the site is being demolished to make way for a new 60,000 sq ft facility that is scheduled to be completed in August 2013.

The new offices include a restaurant, coffee shop and gym facilities.

Over the course of the 54 week contract, around 70 construction workers will be on site each week.

Robertson regional managing director Keith Taylor said: “Technip’s new facility shows their confidence in the market and Aberdeen will benefit greatly from their increased presence in the area. As a local construction business it’s an exciting project to be involved in.”

Technip UK managing director Bill Morrice said: “The development of our Westhill site comes at an extremely positive time for the company.

“The next stage of the expansion of our new facilities is an important step for us as we aim to ensure we continue to be in the best possible position to meet our clients developing needs, both now and in the future.

“As an organisation, we continually strive to provide members of our team with the best possible work environment and facilities and the investment in our Westhill site further strengthens this commitment. I am delighted that the building remains on track for completion in August 2013.”

Following the completion of the new building, existing buildings at the site will be refurbished.
