Seddon is building an equine veterinary centre and a two-storey office and distribution store as part of two phases of development at Chowley Oak Business Park for Bolesworth Estate.

The new buildings at Chowley, near Tattenhall, will reflect the style of existing offices and converted farm buildings, with work expected to be completed by March 2015.

This new contract win comes shortly after Seddon was appointed to design and build Muse Development's City Place office block near Chester railway station.

“We have seen a significant upturn in our commercial pipeline of work in 2014,” said Seddon operations manager Andrew Slaney. “There has been a return of confidence to commercial lettings and our clients are investing in property again.”

Bolesworth Estate has been owned by the Barbour family since 1856. It currently has 140 commercial tenants across the estate’s 6,000 acres, which between them employ nearly 1,000 people.

Estate manager Matthew Morris said: “We have a challenging timescale which Seddon is responding to with great enthusiasm.  Their team is professional and knowledgeable and is helping us to deliver what is a very exciting phase of growth for Bolesworth.”
