The Ashmole Estate, near the Oval cricket ground, will be refurbished over the next six years at a cost of £20m. The work follows the transfer of the estate from the London Borough of Lambeth to MHT in March 2010.
Rydon will refurbish the inside of approximately 500 properties and the outside of approximately 600 properties. It will also carry out environmental improvements to common areas outside.
Rydon's £20m bid was more than 20% below the initial estimate of £26m.
