Client for the US$80m (£49m) scheme is the United States Army Corps of Engineers. The 59th Medical Wing operates the base.
The project includes the addition of a 27,700m2 building that will provide medical care to members of the armed services. Construction will begin next month and is expected to be completed by September 2013.
