The contract with the Rio Grande City Consolidated School District is worth US$52m (£32.5m).
Skanska will build the seven-storey building, a 32,700m2 project including administration areas, cafeteria, fine arts facilities, classrooms, a career and technology centre and a gymnasium. This project also includes an athletics complex.
Construction is scheduled to begin this month and is expected to be completed by May 2014.
