Sky high list of achievements despite tough conditions

4 Nov 11 An award nomination, a ten fold increase in staff and doubling turnover year-on-year are just some of the achievements by manufacturer, Fencehouse Truss Company, thanks to the help of Gang-Nail Systems.

In the last three years the company has built its own factory in Durham and employs 20 people from the local area to make roof trusses for prestige clients. And the beginning of this year saw investment in a new joist machine which marked the expansion into manufacturing and marketing Ecojoist to accompany the existing successful roof truss market.

Fencehouse has worked with Gang-Nail for the last six years and in that time they have been provided with continuous training and guidance on both the software and the best machinery to buy.

Steve Harris, Director at Fencehouse, said: “We’ve taken our expansion one step at a time and Gang-Nail has been there supporting us as we’ve progressed from just producing trusses to Ecojoists. Everything has been created from scratch – we built the factory from the ground up after buying the land and even despite the difficulties of the past few years we’ve continued to go against the grain.”

Jason Ruddle, Gang-Nail’s Sales and Business Development Manager added: “It’s great to see manufacturers like Fencehouse thriving in these harsh economic times. To be nominated for a best manufacturer award against the likes of Nissan is a real achievement in such a short space of time and they have been staunch supporters of Gang-Nail’s products.

“With the support of Gang-Nail’s software and training expertise we hope Fencehouse continues to grow and expand at its north east site.”
