The Cerdedelo-Prado and El Corno sections are complementary - one for each direction of travel.
Each section involves a tunnel of approximately 8.8km. They have similar budgets, one of €137.7m and the other of €143.3m.
The new route is designed for two-way high-speed international gaugen traffic. The projects also cover associated work including earthworks, drainage, structures, services and road realignment.
