Stand draw planned for PlantWorx

20 Jul 11 Organisers of PlantWorx, the construction equipment exhibition launched after the demise of SED, are calling for entries to take place in a draw for the best stand locations.

The ‘Grand Stand Draw’ will take place at the Heritage Motor Museum, Gaydon in Warwickshire on 22 September after the half-yearly conference of the Construction Equipment Association, the owner of the new event.

Drawing lots will give all exhibitors an equal chance for the primary exhibition stands and demo areas, the CEA said.

Companies that signed up to the event from the outset when plans were first announced in January this year – including JCB, Merlo, Manitou, Volvo, Ammann, Thwaites and Bomag, will occupy ‘anchor stands’ that are strategically positioned around both areas of the site (Digging Area and Non Dig), so all that exhibitors around them will benefit from maximum footfall.  Stand sizes have also been limited, which ensures that those with smaller marketing budgets are also able to compete.

Closing date for entries to the draw is the 15 September 2011.

The first PlantWorx exhibition is 14-16 May 2013 at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. It will be held every two years after that. The Construction Index is an official media partner of the event.
