The four-year regional framework contracts are designed, in part, to provide an opportunity for small and medium-sized businesses to win defence work. Few of the 10 fit the description of SME, however.
The shortlisted companies are:

- Interserve Project Services
- Leadbitter Group
- Lend Lease Construction (EMEA)
- Mansell Construction Services
- Morgan Sindall
- Shepherd Construction
- Skanska UK
- VINCI Construction UK
The estimated total contract value over the four-year period for the East Midlands & Eastern England Framework is between £100m and £250m.
DIO’s next generation estate contracts (NGEC) Frameworks team will invite tenders from the 10 shortlisted bidders to narrow down the list.
