Third win for Skanska at Helsinki mall

The latest SEK500m (£48m) contract is for the third phase of Kannelmäki Shopping Center, where Skanska has also been responsible for the earlier work.

Helsinki Cooperative Society Elanto is client for the centre, which will have a floor area of 101,000m², making it one of the largest shopping centres in Finland. The third phase of the project is for 45,000m².

Work begins this month and is scheduled for completion in the autumn of 2013. The second phase was completed in January and it houses the largest Prisma supermarket in Finland, as well as 26 other shops.
