The appointment follows the collapse of former distributor Leach Lewis Plant in August.
Lister Wilder has also been appointed as Kubota excavator distributor for an enlarged territory.
Ian Brown, sales director of Thwaites, said that the new appointment reinforced Thwaites position in the southeast. “The synergy between Thwaites and Lister Wilder - which sells and supports other leading complimentary products - makes the arrangement perfect for both companies,” he said.
Family-owned since 1947, Lister Wilder is also in the agriculture and groundcare machinery sectors.
Lister Wilder commercial director Charlie King said of the Thwaites appointment that he was looking forward to continuing to develop the construction equipment division.
